Membership in Chapter 292
| Membership in EAA Chapter 292 has benefits!! In addition to
meeting lots of aircraft builders, see what else you get: |
|
- You have the
opportunity to use the tools in our
tool crib--donated and
purchased tools for aircraft building and inspecting. We are in
the process of buying a set of scales for weighing aircraft. There
will be a nominal fee for use of the scales, but most tools will be
available for member use, free of charge
|
- Our hangar/workshop with a number of shop tools. Members
bring their projects to our Chapter Hangar to utilize these shop tools,
and to have work-events for education of all members, and to get a
'barn-raising' style of progress on a project. Most recently we
had Dave Olson's Avid
Magnum in for a week of covering tubes with fabric.
|
|
- Monthly meetings have dazzling presentations and learning
work-sessions. In November 2005, Henry Bartle gave us a taste of
working with fiberglass. We had a Great Toolbox Building
project with
Van's Aluminum Toolbox kits for our February 2006 meeting. In
addition, there are lots of folks to talk to about what you need to know
next in your project progress. And after-meeting hangar-visits to
see other building progress is routine.
