The Noon Patrol displayed our well
traveled Fuselage s/n 001 at the Oregon Airfair in Albany, OR Sept.
15-17.
|
 |
The easel with lots of large
photos drew lots of attention. Our reflective Noon Patrol sign really
reacts to the flash.
|
 |
Two or three Noon Patrol members
were busy constantly explaining our project to thousand of adoring
fans. One not so adoring fan was the woman who complained that our
project was ruining her marriage. We told her that she should blame
Dick Starks. |

Back at the hanger: Making the
lower wing false ribs. |
 |
The lower wing ribs. Only 252 of
these are needed.
|
 |
Some of the lower wing ends. A
compound bend is required and they are different for left and right.

the horizontal stabilizer strut attach brackets. Note that the fuselage
is upside down here.

The first complete lower wing.
When we build a part before we know how to do it right, we call it "The
pre-production prototype."
