Our Noon Patrol Engineer developed a nifty new elevator control.
A rod from the stick runs back to . . .
this bellcrank which controls the elevator cables.
While preparing fuselages for cover the Noon Patrol quality control department discovered a few gussets made out of the wrong stock. A zillion rivets had to be drilled out and then the old gusset flattened and used as a template for a new gusset.

The start of covereing the fuselage.

The engine was dragged outside.
The test stand was chained down with a big chain.
Checking the distributor.
Before starting we RTFM (Read The F****** Manual) once more for luck.
Checking the valve clearance.
The engine on the test stand - ready to run.
