Fuselages ready for cover.
Lots of small parts have to be fabricated.
This piece is a guide for the elevator cables that is installed in the rear of the fuselage.
Working on the instrument panel on the engine test stand.
We lied when we said there was no welding. But there's not much.
Seat belts and shoulder harness are installed before the fuselage is covered.
The should harness attaches to these cables under the front of the turtledeck.
The cables for the shoulder harness run through the turtledeck...
to the rear of the fuselage.
The lower longerons are double thickness from the front back past the seat belt anchor point.
These covers are over holes in the fabric that allow access to the flight control system.
Self explanatory.
The air cleaner cover rotates to draw air from the outside or heated air form the exhaust muff.
This Taylorcraft L-2 may be a taildragger trainer for many of the Noon Patrol pilots.
