At the EAA Chapter meeting in May we brought out
001 for a demonstration. |

Chapter members watch the runup as the mighty VW
threatens to rip the tie down chain right out of the ramp.

It ran so well that we took the chain off the tail
and Al taxied it around the ramp.

This demonstration was entered in the log as taxi
test 1.

The second engine has been mounted.

Some members work on #002 (right) while others
prepare #001 for the FAA inspection.

A whole bunch of fuselages getting the firewalls
prepared for engines.

The main workshop. Lots of fuselages.

# 003 gets ready for an engine.

Installing the pitot tube.

Doyle's clever painting makes the aluminum tube
look like wood. |

We all liked the wood look so much that we're
making him do this to the V-Struts, landing gear legs, and cabanes on
all of the aircraft.

Nifty looking leather boot over the aileron
pushrod.

The last wing gets the final touch.

Lots of wings waiting.

More wings and elevators waiting. The engine has
been mounted on 003.

The cable under the axle braces it so it doesn't
sag.
